It's A Family Affair...

Alas, I really must be aging!! GASP! My son (my YOUNGEST I might add) has decided that he wants to learn how to tattoo & pierce for his senior project, as well as his future. Knowing that Dane is a responsible individual, I've decided to show him the tricks of the trade. He's 14 and has started his apprenticeship. |
| Here are a few pictures of Dane laying his first lines of ink (on my shoulder!!). I should tell you that Dane has been hanging around the shop since the beginning and has been with me at previous shops. He has been watching me do what I do for about 3 of my 6 years. | |

Here is the end result of his first go-round with tattooing. Although his lines aren't the straightest, I must confess they are very comparable to the first tattoos I've seen from a lot of local talent and tattoo artists. Dane will be apprenticing for the next three years. As well as learning how to tattoo, he will also learn to pierce, and be able to open manage a tattoo shop by the time he graduates from high school. Let's wish him well, eh?! |
